Chiropractor treating a patient’s low back

Chiropractic Care Focused on Your Needs

Living in Farmers Branch gives you easy access to green spaces and trails for paddling, fishing, walking and yard projects. When shoulder, wrist, knee or low back discomfort limits those activities, Dr. Lawrence Grimm at Premier Sports Chiropractic in North Dallas can help address the root cause. He opened the clinic in 2009 and matches care to each patient’s goals.

From Farmers Branch, the drive to the North Dallas clinic runs along LBJ. Morning appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and afternoon hours on Tuesday and Thursday can fit around work and time outdoors, and online booking lets you pick a time that works for you.

Stay Active Around Farmers Branch

Farmers Branch calls itself “A City in a Park,” with 31 green spaces covering 469 acres. You can explore the 27-acre Farmers Branch Historical Park or visit the 104-acre John F. Burke Nature Preserve. The preserve includes a boardwalk overlook, a granite pond-loop trail and river access for fishing. Part of the Trinity River Paddle Trail runs along the preserve, and the city also has a Community Recreation Center.

Paddling and fishing may place extra demands on your shoulder, wrist and low back. Walking can bring attention to knee or foot concerns. Yard work may contribute to low back pain or sciatica, while standing at work may affect your hips, knees or lower back. Dr. Grimm may use adjustments, ART, corrective exercise, cold laser therapy or other treatment options based on your evaluation.

How We Help Farmers Branch Patients

Paddling and Fishing Support

How a Visit Works

1. Evaluate

Your first visit starts with a conversation about your pain, your history and what you want to get back to. Dr. Grimm then examines how you move and explains what he finds.

2. Treat

Treatment can often start that same day. Before you commit, you get an estimate of how many sessions it may take and what it will cost.

3. Perform & Maintain

The goal is to get you back on the field, court, course or trail and keep you there. If you are not improving after a few visits, Dr. Grimm changes the plan or refers you to an appropriate medical specialist.

Tried this clinic recently due to some lower back issues I encountered following a weekend of yardwork. Had a really great experience and Dr. Grimm is awesome! He has a great sense of humor and adopts a cautious, conservative approach to designing his treatment plans. This is the first time I have ever encountered this kind of low-pressure, non profit-driven environment in a Chiropractic setting. Other places have insisted I undergo a battery of tests, X-rays, etc. and maintain a weekly session in order to get me back in shape. Overall a great location, very competent doctors, and focused on individualized treatments driven by customer service and satisfaction. I’ve found my Chiropractor for life!

Questions From Farmers Branch Patients

Can I schedule after a day on the paddle trail?

Yes. Morning appointments are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday offer 1-6 PM times. Friday closes at 1 PM and the clinic is closed on weekends. Book online or call (214) 696-5100.

Do you treat knee pain after walking the Burke Preserve?

Dr. Grimm sees patients with knee, foot and ankle concerns that arise from walking trails and green spaces. He evaluates the movement pattern and selects adjustments, corrective exercise or other services to match your goals.

Can yard work in Farmers Branch really cause sciatica?

Bending, lifting and twisting during yard work can strain the low back, and irritation of the sciatic nerve can send pain through the hip and down the leg. Dr. Grimm treats back pain and sciatica. He looks at how you bend and lift, then may use adjustments, Active Release Techniques or corrective exercise.
